In this article, we are informing community members about Solutions Internet, Technologies, Information and Communication for All (SITICAL) a mobile community of university students.
The purpose is to bridge the digital divide among rural and urban communities to access to fundamental needs and to promote free exchange of information and communication using all of the Technologies available to us!
Development:
Since December 2009, JETIME Communication and Internet Network changed the name to “SITICAL Communication and Internet Network."SITICAL provides a platform network that includes mobile phone technologies, reaching out to local individuals and groups working on sustainable development.
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
We seek volunteers to help design our web sites, VoIP calls and SMS exchange tools and integrate all with Internet/web technologies. Our work is aimed at enabling mobile phone customers and Internet users to benefit from our free services, music archives, art galleries, free calling, free SMS exchange and free Internet access with participation in social networks (Facebook, Twitter, MSN, Yahoo, etc.
CONCLUSION
We have programme under development.Soon we will report to you on how technologies will bring what the community and people need in Burundi.
